Implementing OHSAS 18001 will assist with monitoring and improving your health and safety performance as well as demonstrating compliance with legal requirements.
OHSAS 18001 is more than having robust procedures and documents. Good practices need to be installed in the culture of a company if it is to perform to its full potential.
Specifically, OHSAS 18001 will:

In the first instance, T&OD Org would carry out a gap analysis of your existing safety management system. This will allow us to compare your current health and safety practices against the OHSAS 18001 2007 standard. This comparison will pinpoint the areas that are working well and those that fall short (the gaps). This will allow you to know where to focus your attention, in order to make the changes that are needed.
The key to having a successful safety management system is to understand why a particular aspect is failing so that the root cause can be addressed. Our gap analysis report will prioritise each identified deficiency, along with estimated timescales.
